Common questions

Where is my data stored?

On your phone, and nowhere else. The app has no account and no server. Nothing you record is sent to us or to anyone else.

How do I make a backup?

Go to More → Backup & export. The backup is a single file you can save to iCloud, Files, or send to yourself. Restore it on a new phone from the same screen.

Because your data lives only on your phone, a backup is the only copy. Make one before changing phones or deleting the app.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are handled by Apple, not by us. Open Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your iPhone, choose The Parkinson's Zone, and cancel there. You keep access until the end of the paid period.

After that the app switches to read-only: everything you recorded stays readable, printable and exportable. Adding new entries is paused until you subscribe again.

I subscribed but the app still says I haven't

Open the subscription screen and tap Restore purchases. If that doesn't help, email us the Support ID shown at the bottom of that screen — it lets us look up the purchase without any personal details.

My medication reminders aren't arriving

Check that notifications are allowed for the app in Settings → Notifications, and that Focus or Do Not Disturb isn't silencing them. Reminders are also paused when a subscription has ended.

Can I share the Doctor Report with my care team?

Yes. Open Doctor Report, choose the period, and print it or share it as a PDF. It's written for clinicians, so it can go straight to your neurologist or Parkinson's nurse.

Which languages does the app support?

English, Dutch, German, French and Spanish. The app follows your phone's language setting.

Is this a medical device?

No. The Parkinson's Zone is a personal companion for keeping track of daily life with Parkinson's. It does not diagnose, treat or give medical advice. Decisions about your care belong with you and your own care team.

Feedback is welcome. If something is confusing, hard to tap, or missing, tell us. The app was shaped by people who use it every day, and it keeps improving that way.
